Fires Creek Tubing

Fires Creek Tubing

Fires Creek is part of Nantahala National Forest Recreation Area and is about 30 miles away. It's a favorite spot with the locals and visitors. Kids like to splash around and tube down the cool stream while adults can sit under the shade at one of the picnic tables and enjoy the falls. Adults can splash around also, there is no age limit! But if sitting or splashing around is not your thing and hiking is, then you are in luck. There are a number of hiking trails in the area ranging from 1.9 to 7.6 miles. Of course there is always fishing and the locals tell us it's pretty good for rainbows further upstream from the picnic area.
